Summer is coming to a close, and my kids will be going back to school. That makes me a little sad. But also, kind of happy, because I don’t have to fight for toys.

And brush your teeth.
Donut Judge. You never know why someone behaves like they do. You don’t know their story. If you see someone walking by with a peacock on their head and wearing duck shoes, donut judge, because maybe that peacock enjoys being on their head. And maybe the duck shoes are the only ones that fit. You donut know. So be nice.
Comfort the sick. Even if they’re smelly. Because frankly, that’s the best time to smell someone.

Personal hygiene is important. You might want a pedicure sometime, and well, if you wouldn’t want to touch your feet, why would you expect someone else to?
Also, it’s not always pleasant.
You never know when or how much someone is hurting. Hug them. Kiss them. Tell them that they matter. Tell them you love them.
RIP TD. 10/13/14 you will be missed. You are loved. See you on the flipside.
Sometimes, you just have to swallow your pride.
And maybe a Halloween costume or two.
It’s important to be with those you love.
And if you can’t, stare pitifully into the eyes of the powers that be until they will it.
Sometimes other people get the attention we are accustomed to having.
And that’s ok.
